FIELD: medicine, dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat dysfunction of the dental system. Before starting treatment, a comprehensive diagnosis is carried out. A manual muscle test (MMT) of the anterior bundle of the deltoid muscle is performed on the right and left sides. MMT is performed with therapeutic localization in the oral cavity, while the patient closes the teeth several times, and if the tone of the indicator muscle is lost when the teeth are closed or it enters a state of hyperfacilitation, then the dysfunction of the dentoalveolar system and the need for its treatment with the help of an occlusive splint are revealed. If general muscle hypertonicity is detected during the diagnostics, the patient is brought into a state of normotonus before treatment by selecting the optimal therapeutic bite height for the manufacture of an occlusal splint. The patient bites on calibration plates of various thicknesses, and the doctor performs MMT of the anterior bundle of the deltoid muscle on the right and left sides until a positive MMT result is reached both on the right and left sides. Installation of jaw models is performed according to the data of the facial arc, which is fixed with reference to the Camper horizontal. Each subsequent stage of tire adjustment is carried out when a negative MMT result of the anterior deltoid muscle bundle on the right and left sides is obtained when biting on the tire. The success and stability of the results of treatment are confirmed by performing a computed tomography of the head and a teleroentgenogram of the skull in a lateral projection, and when a state of general normotonus and positive MMT are detected when biting on a splint for one month.
EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy of jaw models installation in an individually adjustable articulator, increased accuracy in determining the therapeutic position of the lower jaw and increased treatment efficiency.
