SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic vapor or aerosol delivery systems, such as nicotine delivery systems. The aerosol delivery system for producing aerosol for the purpose of inhalation by the user includes a cartridge containing a housing containing an aerosol-forming material, and an aerosol delivery device with a means of coupling adapted for receiving the cartridge, made with the possibility of inducing, when using an aerosol-forming material, to produce an aerosol for inhalation by the user by supplying thermal energy to the aerosol-forming material. The cartridge contains a circuit forming a data storage unit made with the ability to store information related to the cartridge. The aerosol delivery device is designed to detect the information stored in the data storage unit when the cartridge is inserted into this device. The data storage unit is made as a whole with one or more walls of the housing.
EFFECT: increase in security regarding the identification of the cartridge.
