FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: combine harvester for performing an agricultural harvesting process contains working units and a driver assistance system for controlling at least a part of said working units. The combine harvester as working units contains a chopping device for chopping the harvested crop and a crop distribution device connected behind the chopping device in the rear area of the combine harvester for distributing the harvested crop on the field in the set drop directions. The corresponding drop direction consists of the vector components of the horizontal drop direction and the vertical drop direction. The driver assistance system is configured to optimize the dropping performance of the crop spreader by combining the partial strategies. The control of the crop spreader is provided by combining the partial strategies "drop direction correction" and/or "crop distribution according to slope" and/or "crop distribution in the longitudinal direction" and/or "crop distribution in the transverse direction" with respect to at least one given optimization criterion.
EFFECT: optimization of the distribution of the harvested crop across the field.
