FIELD: medicine, cardiology and cardiac surgery.

SUBSTANCE: multispiral computer phlebography is performed. The calcium index is determined using the modified Agatston scale. If the value of the coronary calcium index is from 11 to 100, 1 point is assigned, if the value is from 101 to 400, 2 points are assigned, if the value is over 400, 3 points are assigned. Three coronary arteries are examined: the anterior descending artery (ADA), the right coronary artery (RCA), and the circumflex artery (OA), they are divided into segments: proximal, middle, and distal. If calcification of the middle segment with the involvement of distal areas is identified — 2 points are assigned, if calcification of the distal segment is identified — 3 points are assigned, in case of total calcification 4 points are assigned. In case of eccentric calcification of the semicircle of the myocardial side of the coronary artery, 1 point is assigned, if there is eccentric calcification of the semicircle of the epicardial side of the coronary artery — 3 points are assigned, in the concentric variant — 4 points are assigned. The scores are summarized for each artery separately. If the value is >7 points, the calcified lesion is considered severe.

EFFECT: method provides improved accuracy in determining the severity of calcified diffuse lesions of the coronary artery.
