SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to cardiology and cardiac surgery. The index of diffuse lesion (IDL) is determined. Then, in patients with IDL 4-6 points and IDL 7-9 points, the calcium index is additionally determined using a modified Agatston score. If the value of the coronary calcium index is from 11 to 100, 1 point is assigned, if the value is from 101 to 400, 2 points are assigned, and if the value is more than 400, 3 points are assigned. Then, a circular lesion of the coronary artery wall is determined and, if bilateral calcification is detected, namely, if the circumference of the coronary artery vessel is affected ≥180°, 5 points are assigned. The scores from the results of the three studies are summed up and at a value of >12 points, calcified diffuse coronary artery lesions are considered severe.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the accuracy of determining the severe degree of calcified diffuse damage to the coronary artery to determine the technique of performing coronary bypass surgery.
