FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for modifying the surface of the cathodes of lithium-ion current sources by applying thin layers of titanium oxide by the molecular layering method. Improving the quality of the applied coatings and obtaining cathodes with an increased cyclic resource at high discharge currents is the technical result of the invention, which is achieved by treating the cathode surface under pressure from 8 to 12 hPa, in an inert medium having a temperature of 140-300°C, 60-600 times in the following repetitive cycle: vapours of titanium (IV) isopropoxide, having a temperature of 15-230°C, for 1-10 s, after which a purge is carried out with an inert gas, vapours of deionized water having a temperature of 15-100°C, for 0.1-10 s, with repeated purging with an inert gas, cooling the cathode in an inert atmosphere to a temperature of 50°C. The process of molecular layering is carried out in a flow-type vacuum reactor.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the applied coatings and obtaining cathodes with an increased cyclic resource at high discharge currents.
