SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the indications for keratorefractive surgery, taking into account the condition of the ocular surface. The concentration of cytokines - IL-4, IL-10, IL-8, IL-17 and enzyme matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is measured in the lacrimal fluid by enzyme immunoassay. If the concentration of IL-8 is 110.65-308.37 pg/ml, IL-4 is less than 40 pg/ml, IL-10 is 2.22-6.8 pg/ml, IL-17 is 1.96-6 .3 pg/ml, and MMP-9 is 3-41 ng/ml, then the patient does not have dry eye syndrome and keratorefractive surgery is indicated.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine indications for keratorefractive surgery due to a laboratory diagnostic study of the lacrimal fluid — measuring the concentration of IL-4, IL-10, IL-8, IL-17 and MMP-9, which makes it possible to exclude the clinical manifestations of dry eye syndrome.
