FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to methods for manufacturing plain bearing liners. The method includes steps wherein the workpiece of two liners is wound on a biconvex collapsible forming mandrel with a radius of curvature equal to the radius of the convex antifrictional surface of the liner. The outer diameter of the liner blank is wound up to the required thickness of the liner. After winding and partial curing, a pair of biconvex elements with a radius of curvature equal to the outer radius of curvature of the liner is removed from the mandrel. The second pair of biconvex elements is installed. A heat-shrinkable tape is wound on the mandrel with a workpiece, followed by final curing of the workpiece of two liners. The device for manufacture of convex liners for plain bearings comprises a collapsible composite shaping mandrel with position locks for the shaping elements. The mandrel comprises two concave surfaces with a radius of curvature equal to the outer radius of curvature of the liner, and two pairs of biconvex elements. The elements are installed with the possibility of mutual fixation of their elements on the mandrel.

EFFECT: increased load capacity of the bearing.
