FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: plain bearing insert comprises fluoroplastic cylindrical members uniformly arranged throughout the friction surface of the insert and is made of a reinforced epoxy plastic. The members are flush mounted into the epoxy plastic. The intermediate parts of the members are provided with parallel cuts so that the part of the member distant from the friction surface is inclined to the friction surface at an angle determined by depth and width of the cuts. The conical space having the top in the part of the members distant from the friction surface are made in the side of the members in the zone of friction. The method comprises antifriction layer made of fluoroplastic plate with cylindrical projecting members on the mandrel, winding load-bearing layer made of a fiber epoxy plastic, pressing, heat treatment, and mechanical working of the blank. Before winding the load-bearing layer, the cuts are made in the intermediate parts of the projecting members.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
