FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, for example, to hydraulic turbine construction, shipbuilding, in particular to friction units of hydraulic machines, propeller shafts operating at high loads: high specific pressures, slip velocities without lubrication and in an aqueous medium. In the method, the insert of the sliding bearing contains antifriction (5) and support (4) layers made from polymeric composite materials of uniform dimensions with elastic layer (6) between them and with adhesion bonds (8) between the layers. Elastic layer (6) is in a stressed state. In elastic layer (6), system of x-shaped annular ribs (7) from the composite material of support layer (4) is arranged with the possibility of radial movement of antifriction layer (5) relative to support layer (4) when the radial load on the insert changes. Radial rigidity of rib system (7) is selected depending on the required vibration absorption and can be made variable along the length of the insert.
EFFECT: creation of large-size up to 2,500 mm sliding bearings with a vibration-absorbing insert made of composite material, operating at specific pressures of up to 200 MPa and variable slip speeds of up to 15 m/s with the provision of a vibration-isolating effect in the entire range of pressures and slip velocities.
