METHOD OF A COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION OF A PATIENT WITH BACK PAIN Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/00 A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2802153 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurology; restorative medicine; pediatrics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose, localize and treat back pain. Step-by-step diagnostics is carried out: at stage I, neurological testing is performed, i.e.: muscle strength, features of the reflex response in the study of tendon and periosteal reflexes, various types of sensitivity are determined. Temperature sensitivity is evaluated with an assessment of the perception of heat and cold, deep proprioceptive sensitivity with a sense of weight and pressure in the manual test of a doctor and also vibration in testing with a tuning fork. Coordination is evaluated in all tests with the additional use of finger-nose and heel-knee tests. At stage II, a neuroorthopedic examination is performed, which includes standard tests to determine the mobility of the joints of the spine and limbs, the determination of the function of the facet joints using indirect tests, a visual assessment of key points of the body to determine their asymmetry. At stage III, functional muscle tests are performed, including the following: bringing the limb to the extreme position with maximum stretching of the tested muscle; strength testing in block-type simulators; testing postural balance in the instability system using balancing equipment. Using the method allows to identify narrow local causes of non-specific back pain with the possibility of selecting the most effective method of treatment and rehabilitation.

EFFECT: method provides improved accuracy of diagnostics and simplification of the compilation of a personalized rehabilitation program.
