FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of flywheels used in devices for the accumulation and conversion of energy, equipped with electrical machines. The drive flywheel is made as a single unit with a magnetic suspension and an electric machine. The flywheel is made of a polymer composite reinforced with unidirectional threads, bundles or ribbons. Microparticles of ferromagnetic material are added to the binder during the impregnation of the reinforcing material during the winding process. Using the magnetization unit, the necessary configuration of the magnetic poles of the flywheel is formed. Magnets fixed on the body interact with the field of the composite flywheel, providing its suspension. The magnetic field of a rotating composite flywheel induces an EMF in the stator winding or ensures its unwinding when current passes. By changing the concentration of high-density powder in the binder depending on the winding diameter, equal mechanical stress is set in the coils of the reinforcing material during the rotation of the flywheel. With the help of a field of magnets fixed on the housing, local mechanical stresses in the composite reinforced material are changed, increasing or decreasing the destruction limit of the flywheel zones, in order to ensure the safe operation of the energy storage device.
