FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create minimally invasive systems for the immediate diagnosis of tumors based on the analysis of optical scattering and absorption spectra from biological tissues or other samples. The device for performing low-traumatic optical biopsy includes an optical probe and a set of replaceable biopsy needles. The probe is designed to be connected via optical fibers to a source of broadband radiation and, through a block of spectrometers, to a data processing and analysis system for recording optical scattering and absorption spectra along the entire trajectory of the biopsy needle attached to the handle of the optical probe and connected to a pressure sensor. The pressure sensor measures the force with which the needle, inside which the light guides are located, enters the sample. A set of replaceable biopsy needles differs in the geometry of placement of light guides in the needle, needle sharpening angles and lengths. The lengths of the needles are selected depending on the properties and location of the sample under study. The light guides are brought out through the end of the fitting and are either ground flush with the surface of the end of the fitting, or connected into a bundle long enough to fit inside the probe handle. A light guide is used as a light guide that delivers radiation in the range of 400–2000 μm. The free space between the light guides inside the needle is filled with a compound. The handle additionally houses a displacement sensor with a spring-loaded rod. The rod is in contact with the support platform, with the ability to move as the needle moves.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase diagnostic accuracy.
