SUBSTANCE: piercing units for use in hookah devices. A piercing system for use in aerosol generating devices is used to create one or more holes in a hookah cartridge. The piercing system contains a piercing unit and a shaft. The shaft may be built in as part of an aerosol generating device. The piercing unit contains a main part with a through hole. The hole may be coaxial with the hollow tube of the shaft. The piercing assembly contains a plurality of piercing elements at its upstream end. The piercing elements are configured to pierce the cartridge. The piercing unit may be operated by placing a cartridge on the piercing unit and pressing on the cartridge.
EFFECT: increasing the safety of using the piercing system of a hookah device.
