SUBSTANCE: foaming composition for a food product is proposed, containing 0.05 to 10 wt.% flour from plant germs, 0.1 to 15 wt.% thickening agent, 0.1 to 35 wt.% natural fiber and water, relative to the total weight of the composition. In addition, the present invention relates to a foam obtained from a foamable composition, a method of making a foamable composition involving mixing the ingredients with water, the use of a foamable composition or foam in a food product, and a food product containing the foamable composition or foam.

EFFECT: producing a product with low fat content, low calorie content and high overrun.
