FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maintaining the road surface in working condition in the autumn-winter period, in the presence of snow and ice on the roads, and can be used in public utilities of cities and organizations operating federal and local roads, as well as at airfields. An anti-icing composition is proposed, including organic and inorganic components, in which, as an organic component, the composition comprises beet molasses with a solids content of 75-80%, and as an inorganic component it comprises calcium oxide, silicon oxide, aluminium oxide and calcium and sodium chloride salts at the following ratio of components, wt.%: beet molasses 5-10, calcium oxide 60-65; silicon oxide 10-15; aluminium oxide 3-5, chloride salts of calcium and sodium 5-10. A method is also proposed for obtaining inorganic components of the anti-icing composition – calcium oxide, silicon oxide and aluminium oxide – from waste steel-smelting slags. The proposed composition can be applied to treated surfaces using standard equipment used by road and public utilities. The use of by-products of beet and steel production in it can significantly reduce the cost of the anti-icing composition. The anti-icing composition passed the preliminary stage of testing and showed the possibility of its wide use in the winter season.
EFFECT: obtaining an anti-icing composition with increased efficiency, which has a minimal negative impact on the environment and uses by-products of various process cycles in its preparation, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the amount of chloride compounds in the total mass of the anti-icing composition.
