FIELD: heat power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used for stabilization of drop condensation on metal surface and its protection against corrosion. To form a superhydrophobic structure of a metal surface, a microtexture with a characteristic size of 70–80 mcm is first pushed with spherical particles, then carbon nanoparticles with size of 5–100 nm are deposited from gas phase, thus forming a structure with combined roughness. Obtained surface is hardened by impregnation with 0.1 % solution of synthetic rubber in acetone.

EFFECT: increased heat release at drop condensation on hydrophobic surface, simplified technology of hydrophobic coating formation due to exclusion of drying and laser treatment.
