SUBSTANCE: adaptive milling module for walk-behind tractors contains two chain gearboxes, each of which contains hollow drive shafts and driven shafts with rotors attached to their free ends located in their housings and kinematically connected to each other by chain transmissions. The hollow drive shafts of the gearboxes are movably connected to each other by a common central shaft, and their housings are movably mounted on the frame using brackets attached to them. The frame is equipped with a screw mechanism for adjusting the distance between the gearboxes with a manual drive, which is a screw with left and right threads at its ends, interacting with nuts installed in the brackets. A drive handle is installed at one end of the screw.

EFFECT: productivity of a tillage unit based on a walk-behind tractor and an adaptive milling module during inter-row cultivation is increased due to the possibility of simultaneous processing of two rows between plants by using an additional chain gear of the same type with rotors and a screw mechanism for adjusting the distance between the gearboxes to the required row spacing.
