FIELD: medicine; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of microencapsulation of antimicrobial drugs into niosomes. It can be used in medical and veterinary practice when using antibacterial drugs in the composition of niosomes, which reduces the degree of their inactivation and allows to optimize the antimicrobial effect due to the concentration of microvesicles based on nonionic surfactants. The following is proposed: a method of obtaining the niosomal form of gentamicin, including production by reverse phase distillation, characterized by a chloroform solution of sorbitan monostearate (Span 60), cholesterol, dicetyl phosphate and polyethylene glycol-2000 in a molar ratio of 50:44:5:1 respectively mixed with 10 ml of the aqueous phase (10 mg/ml solution of gentamicin in 0.02 M phosphate-buffered saline solution).
EFFECT: method ensures the production of niosomes with an encapsulated antibacterial drug with a high efficiency of inclusion of the active substance (up to 67.8±1.1%).
