SUBSTANCE: device and method for manufacturing rechargeable batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, which can be used in a vehicle. In a battery with a plurality of battery cells, a pressure relief mechanism is provided, a component alignment used to electrically connect a plurality of battery cells, wherein the pressure relief mechanism and the bus component are respectively located on different sides of at least one battery cell, whereby emissions from at least one battery cell are released in a direction away from the bus when activating the pressure relief mechanism, wherein the battery comprises a temperature control component configured to receive a fluid to regulate the temperatures of the plurality of battery cells and damage upon activation of the pressure relief mechanism, thereby causing emissions from the battery cell to pass through the temperature control component.
