SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a battery, an energy-consuming device, a method and a device for manufacturing a battery. The battery comprises: a battery cell including a pressure relief mechanism, wherein the pressure relief mechanism is disposed on the first wall of the battery cell, and the pressure relief mechanism is operable to reduce internal pressure or temperature when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold value; and a temperature control component configured to receive a fluid for adjusting the temperature of the battery cell; wherein the first surface of the thermal control component is attached to the first wall of the battery cell, wherein the thermal control component is configured to be damaged by emissions discharged from the battery cell upon activation of the pressure release mechanism, causing the emissions to pass through the temperature control component.
