SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a battery containing a plurality of battery cells configured to be electrically connected to each other through a busbar component, and a method for its manufacture, as well as a device for its manufacture, in order to improve the characteristics of the battery. Improving the safety of battery operation is achieved due to the fact that the battery contains a plurality of battery cells configured to be electrically connected to each other through a busbar component with a cover element into which the busbar component is mounted, with an insulating portion attached to the closing member and configured to cover at least the busbar component, the battery pressure relief mechanism and the busbar component are located on different sides of the battery element. In addition, by placing the busbar component without a casing, the overall battery volume and energy density are increased, and battery maintenance is improved when replacing the control unit.
