FIELD: chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and can be used in quality control centers for medicines and control and analytical laboratories in the quantitative determination of the amount of flavonoids in the (Nigella sativa L.) herb. Extraction is carried out with ethyl alcohol at a concentration of 70% of air-dry raw materials with an exact weight of 1 g, crushed to a particle size passing through a sieve with holes with a diameter of 2 mm, in the ratio "raw material-extractant" - 1:30 for 45 minutes. A water-alcohol extract is obtained from the herb Nigella sowing single extraction. Quantitative determination of the amount of flavonoids in the herb Nigella sativa is carried out at a wavelength of 412 nm in terms of rutin. The content of the sum of flavonoids in terms of rutin and absolutely dry raw materials is calculated by the formula

EFFECT: method allows to quantify the amount of flavonoids in the herb Nigella sativa in terms of rutin.
