FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for estimating oxide thickness and temperature of a heated strip steel subjected to heat treatment performed at temperatures from 100°C to 1100°C, including the following stages: 1) measuring at least two values of radiation intensity at different wavelengths in the range from 1 to 5 mcm, emitted by the said heated steel strip; 2) assessment of the temperature of the said heated steel strip, TEST, based on the said at least two measured values of radiation intensity, as well as the reference radiation intensity, with at least the reference wavelength emitted by the reference steel strip having a certain thickness of the oxide layer; 3) evaluation of the emissivity of the said heated steel strip,εEST, using at least one of the specified measured values of radiation intensity and estimated temperature, TEST; 4) estimation of oxide thickness, OxEST, of the said heated steel strip using the said estimated emissivity,εEST. A method for heat treatment of strip steel is also proposed.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and informativeness of the data obtained.
