FIELD: molecular biology.
SUBSTANCE: set of oligonucleotide primers and probes for species differentiation of human herpes virus 6A and human herpes virus 6B is described. A method of using the specified set of oligonucleotide primers and probes is also described. The method involves extracting DNA from biological material and performing RT-PCR using the above-mentioned set of oligonucleotide primers and probes, amplification, analysis and interpretation of the results.
EFFECT: development of a means for detecting the DNA of human herpes viruses, namely HHV-6A and HHV-6B, with a high degree of specificity.
