FIELD: medicine; pulmonology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat patients with hypercapnic respiratory failure and signs of secondary pulmonary arterial hypertension. Inhalation is performed with nitric oxide and an aerosol of water vapor with chemically active atomic hydrogen, the concentration of the latter in the mixture being from 0.1 to 0.3 vol.%. Inhalation of nitric oxide is performed at a dose of 100 ppm and is combined simultaneously with inhalation of an aerosol of water vapor during non-invasive ventilation (NIV) in the BiPAP ST mode, inhalation gases, nitric oxide and aerosol water vapor are supplied through an adapter directly into the circuit of the NIV device. Inhalation therapy with a combination of NIV in BiPAP ST mode, nitric oxide at a dose of 100 ppm and water vapor aerosol is performed for 10–14 days for 90 minutes, 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening.
EFFECT: method increases the effectiveness of treatment of respiratory failure through the use of positive pressure in the respiratory tract, changing the mechanics of ventilation, “unloading” the respiratory muscles, increasing alveolar ventilation, regulating the tone of the vascular system and correcting signs of vascular endothelial dysfunction, as well as effectively combating ischemia of internal organs and tissues human body by improving oxygen transport and utilization, correcting metabolic disorders, achieving positive dynamics in the form of reducing the manifestations of respiratory failure and increasing tolerance to physical activity.
