FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for manufacturing a substrate with rapid self-formation of nanoparticles to obtain giant Raman scattering spectra. The method includes deposition of a thin film on a solid-state substrate in the form of a multilayer structure consisting of a layer or layers containing a component of the plasmonic material, layers of an oxidizer and a reducer, and the implementation of a short-term local energy impact to activate a self-propagating exothermic reaction between the components of the oxidizer and reducer, leading to the formation of a supporting layer and an array of nanoparticles of plasmonic material on top of it.

EFFECT: preventing a decrease in the effect of amplification of the Raman signal from the substance under study and loss of sensitivity of the substrate during storage.
