FIELD: structures made of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of core and reinforcing elements for space or ground applications, for example, to create a route for laying an on-board cable network of a spacecraft based on the design of a solar battery mechanical device. The technical result of the invention is to improve the manufacturability of a closed profile and expand the possibilities of its use by providing a given length of the profile during its manufacture, which does not require additional assembly operations at the place of use of the profile. The method consists in laying layers of fibrous material impregnated with a polymeric binder one on top of the other and forming them with the help of tooling. The same smooth profiles with an open section are formed along the entire length of the profile. One of the profiles is elastically deformed in the transverse direction, reducing the gap between the edges forming a gap in its cross section. One is inserted into another, to a depth that guarantees their alignment. It is released, forming a profile with a constant closed section, where the outer profile elastically compresses the inner one, but does not fix it. One profile is moved relative to another to obtain a given length of a closed profile. The profile is cut to the specified size. Open-section profiles after alignment are fixed to each other by gluing their adjacent surfaces.
EFFECT: improving the manufacturability of a closed profile and expanding the possibilities of its use by providing a given length of the profile during its manufacture, which does not require additional assembly operations at the place of use of the profile.
