FIELD: aerosol-generating films.

SUBSTANCE: present invention provides a method for producing an aerosol-generating film. In the first step of the method, a film-forming composition is prepared containing: a cellulose-based film-forming agent, a non-cellulose-based thickener, at least 30 wt.% of water and at least 10 wt.% of polyhydric alcohol. At the second stage, a layer of film-forming composition having a thickness of less than 1 mm is formed. In the third step, the layer of film-forming composition is heated to evaporate at least some of the water to form a film, wherein the layer of film-forming composition is heated to such a temperature and for such a time that the film contains water in an amount less than or equal to 30 wt.% of water.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create an aerosol-generating film that has improved geometric stability, can be produced in various forms, for example supported and unsupported, and provides a high content of aerosol-generating substance.
