FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: individual implant for reconstruction of defects in the cranio-orbital region contains a body made of solid bioinert material, the outer contours of which correspond to the boundaries of the defect of the skull bones. The body is designed to fill bone defects in the frontal-parietal-temporal-sphenoid region, the upper and lateral walls of the orbit and the zygomatic complex. The body includes convexital and orbital parts. The convexital part over a larger area is congruent with the outer surface of the fronto-parietal-temporo-sphenoid region of the cranial vault, and in the anterior part it closes the natural concavity between the zygomatic process of the frontal bone and the anterior parts of the temporal line. The orbital part is congruent with the orbital surface of the bones that form the orbit. The body contains reserve cavities designed to prevent compression of soft tissues and neurovascular structures of the cranio-orbital region. The body contains extensions to fill the superimposed burr holes and prevent rotational malposition of the implant. The orbital part is made solid, and the convexital part contains perforations, with at least one row of perforations passing in the area of fixation of the upper edge of the temporal muscle to the implant body.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of reconstruction of defects in the cranio-orbital region.
