SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices and machines for filling and dispensing coffee and, more specifically, to portafilter dosing devices used to control the quantity, distribution and/or filling of ground coffee in the filter basket of the portafilter before extraction. In one aspect, the invention provides a device for vibrating the filter basket to vibrate the coffee grounds in it to facilitate the alignment and removal of voids before ramming. In other aspects, the invention provides machines and methods for filling a filter basket for coffee with rammed ground coffee to the target level.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed group of inventions is to improve the automation of grinding, filling and ramming to improve the consistency of coffee.
