FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of production of anatomical macropreparations using epoxy resin. The method is treating a fragment of biological material with a fixing solution containing the following composition: formalin (40%) 10%, ethyl alcohol (96%) 30%, dry boric acid 5 g per 100 ml of solution and water up to 100%, by immersion for 48–72 hours, and if a whole organ is used as such material, then the solution is first passed through the vascular system using a syringe; then the fragment of biological material processed in this way is subjected to dehydration in a 96% ethanol solution for 3–7 days and degreasing in a 100% acetone solution for 3–7 days; next, a fragment of biological material is impregnated with silicone and a hardener in the form of vapor in a sealed chamber under vacuum for 48–72 hours in each case, depending on the volume of the specified material; after which this material is filled with transparent epoxy resin.
EFFECT: invention ensures an increase in the service life of the anatomical macropreparation and safety when working with it in educational institutions.
