FIELD: measuring gas flow.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of an inlet fitting “gas inlet”, a coulometric cell, a microammeter, a direct current source and an output fitting “gas outlet”. The coulometric cell contains electrodes in form of non-contacting helical wound spirals made of plastic or rhodium wire, placed in the channel of a tube made of fluoroplastic or glass, and a film of partially hydrated phosphorus anhydride P2O5 is applied to the electrodes and the bearing surface, and the device is designed to calculate gas consumption using the formula Q = (Io·EH2O)/V, Io – electrolysis current of the coulometric cell, EH2O – electrochemical equivalent of water, V – gas humidity.
EFFECT: elimination of the need to operate the device for measuring gas flow at high temperatures.
