SUBSTANCE: in order to improve quality of controlling filling of a sensitive element with a sorbent after production or regeneration thereof, the amount of sorbent is determined by the duration of active absorption of moisture by said sorbent without applying dc voltage at the electrodes of the element.
EFFECT: longer uninterrupted operation of a coulometric hygrometer and considerably longer period of time for regenerating coulometric sensitive elements.
