FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for cryogenic strength testing and can be used to test hydrogen tanks in a cryostat. The tank and the internal volume of the cryostat are cooled with cryogenic liquid, the temperature of which is 1-2 degrees higher than the triple point temperature. At the same time, complete filling of the tank volume is controlled by the level of cryogenic liquid formed in the cryostat. The cryogenic liquid is sealed in the tank. An isochoric process of increasing the pressure of the cryogenic liquid in the tank is carried out by blowing the surface of the tank with gas obtained when the cryogenic liquid passes through the evaporator. In this case, the gradient of pressure increase in the tank is regulated by the flow rate and the temperature of the blown gas. When a given pressure of the cryogenic liquid is reached, the temperature of the blown gas is stabilized at the temperature level equal to the temperature of the cryogenic liquid at the given pressure. The pressure is maintained for a specified time, and then the pressure in the tank is reduced to its original value by blowing on the surface of the tank. In this case, the pressure drop gradient in the tank is adjusted by varying the flow rate and the temperature of the blown gas. Repeat the required number of cycles. The tank and the cryostat are heated to a temperature of 280-290 K.
EFFECT: simplification of the testing technology, reduction of the time of the full test cycle.
