FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: metal-oxide-carbon composite materials used as catalysts in organic synthesis reactions, in particular for the thermolysis of ammonium perchlorate. The catalyst contains a carbon base and a metal oxide, the carbon base being carbonized needles. Carbonization of needles to obtain a carbon base is carried out at a temperature of 700-800° C and for 10-120 min. The metal oxide is copper oxide and/or nickel oxide and/or cobalt oxide and/or iron oxide introduced into the carbon base when it is impregnated with a solution of metal nitrates in 10% nitric acid, which is a solution of copper nitrate (II), and/or nickel (II) nitrate, and/or cobalt (II) nitrate, and/or iron (III) nitrate in nitric acid. The introduction of metal oxide into the carbon base during impregnation of the carbonizate with solutions of metal nitrates in nitric acid is carried out with subsequent activation of the resulting suspension at a temperature of 500-550° C for 40-150 minutes. In this case, the composition includes, in terms of dry matter: a carbon base of at least 50 wt.%; metal oxide not less than 5 wt.%.
EFFECT: high catalytic activity, expansion of the range of metal oxides used, while simultaneously narrowing the temperature range in which the main thermolysis reaction occurs, and the ability to controllably change the conversion of ammonium perchlorate thermolysis products.
