FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of corneal defects of various etiologies. Blood is drawn from a vein of the patient using a sterile APM blood processing tube intended to obtain platelet-rich plasma. The resulting platelet-rich plasma is placed in a sterile container and incubated at a room temperature for 15–30 minutes until a clot is formed, from which a platelet-fibrin film with a thickness of 0.2–0.3 mm and a diameter of 10– 11 mm is formed with platelet content in a concentration of at least 1.0–1.1×109 cells/l, which is placed on the cornea and fixed with a soft contact lens.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the treatment duration.
