METHOD FOR SEALING OPTICAL ELEMENT IN METAL CASE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC C03C27/02 B23K1/19

Abstract RU 2809058 C1

FIELD: soldering an optical element.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for sealing by soldering an optical element in a metal case in the manufacture, for example, of elements of automation systems. The base of the optical element is ground and polished. Glass solder in the form of a ring is mounted in the gap between the body and the optical element. The assembly is placed in a vacuum environment with a residual pressure of no more than 10-2 Pa. Stage-by-stage heating is carried out at a given speed and isothermal holding times to ensure degassing of the glass solder. The assembly is cooled step by step to the glass transition temperature of the solder seam, and then the cooling mode is used to minimize internal stresses in the solder seam. After removing the assembly from the vacuum environment, the optical element is ground and polished from the outside. The optical element is made in the shape of a truncated cone on a cylindrical base. The metal case is made of stainless steel or titanium with a recess for the optical element and a groove for collecting liquid glass solder.

EFFECT: method ensures obtaining a soldered seam without pores and non-solders, eliminating oxidation of the titanium body, organizing the collection of liquid glass solder during the soldering process, and increasing the accuracy of its dosage.
