FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of increasing the phagocytic activity of macrophages. The method involves exposing macrophages to graphene oxide nanoparticles obtained by electrochemical exfoliation of working electrodes from highly oriented pyrolytic graphite and diluted with phosphate-buffered saline to obtain a graphene oxide concentration of 1 mg/ml, while the resulting suspension is added to the cell monolayer of macrophages at a final concentration of 2 μg/ml of medium to prevent cell necrosis, cells are cultured in the presence of graphene oxide for 2 hours, after which they are washed.

EFFECT: invention is effective for increasing the effectiveness of biotechnological vaccines based on macrophages.
