FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: following is presented: a microdevice for cell culture for maintaining and cultivating cells in it and methods of its use. The device contains a cell cultivation block having a first cell carrier block defining a cell culture chamber formed in it. This first cell support unit is formed from at least a chamber base shaped to support a cell thereon, and one or more chamber walls having one or more chamber wall surfaces covering the cell culture chamber at approximately the boundary cameras.

EFFECT: embodiments of this cell culture microdevice can be used for in vitro fertilization procedures and medicinal product efficacy assays.
