FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing welded contact conductors mainly for high-speed railways from copper alloys. Method involves formation of wire in two steps: at first by method of conform process (extrusion) produced is endless endless billet of round section, area of which is larger than the area of cast workpiece, at the second one - from the workpiece by cold drawing the wire of the required profile is produced. Wire is made of copper alloy with magnesium or with tin.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a wire with specific resistance of not more than 0_0179 mcOhm⋅m and high strength (tensile strength at least of 432 MPa for wire with nominal cross-section of 85 mm2, at least 411 MPa - with nominal cross-section of 150 mm2 at relative elongation of not less than 3 %).
