SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for installing an object on an overhead line wire, for example, a radio station, a video camera, a light-emitting device, a siren, a transmitter, a laser range finder, a GPS/GLONASS device. The method of installing an object on an overhead line wire is that the UAV, on which a basket is installed, inside of which a holder with an object is installed, flies up to the overhead line wire from below, continuing to move upward, the UAV inserts the overhead line wire into the space between the clamping and the thrust brackets of the clamp mounted on object, with the further upward movement of the UAV, the overhead line wire presses on the clamp guard, the clamping bracket is released and presses the wire against the stop bracket, the UAV flies away from the overhead line wire. The device for installing an object on an overhead line wire contains a UAV equipped with a basket, inside of which a holder for the object is installed.
EFFECT: improved safety of an object when installing it on an overhead line wire and removing it from the wire.
