FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: method for adjusting the brightness of an image and rendering the image begins by identifying a light area in the image. The light area is classified into the assigned classification. The luminance value of the light area is determined and compared with predefined luminance values corresponding to the classification. The brightness value of the light area is adjusted to match the preset brightness values when there is a mismatch. The image is rendered with the identified light area having an adjusted brightness value.
EFFECT: improvement of quality of image display.
