FIELD: medicine; orthopedics; surgery and plastic surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to form the interdigital space using a crown-shaped flap in the treatment of syndactyly of the hands or feet in children. A skin flap is formed on the palmar surface of the hand or the plantar surface of the foot at the base of the fused toes and moved into the interdigital space, lining the interdigital commissure and the lateral surfaces of the toes. A crown-shaped flap with three teeth facing towards the fused fingers is formed. The middle tooth of the crown-shaped flap is cut in the longitudinal direction to 1/3 of the length. A V-shaped flap is formed on the side opposite the coronal flap. After dividing the fingers, the crown-shaped flap is moved into the interdigital space, and a V-shaped flap is wedged into the longitudinal incision of the middle dissected tooth.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the volume of separation of separated fingers or toes and a decrease in the probability of disease recurrence with the best possible cosmetic effect by reducing tissue tension when bringing the edges of the skin together due to the characteristics of the formed flaps.
