FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: zones of drainage standing in the anterior abdominal wall from the abdominal cavity after laparotomy are identified, then cryotherapy on the puncture-drainage channel using a cryoapplicator is performed. Before cryotherapy, the abdominal wall is removed from the liver to a distance that ensures the placement of the working part of the cryoapplicator between puncture-drainage hole and liver. The abdominal wall is held in a given position during cryotherapy using an instrument having a ring-shaped element equipped with a handle, configured to accommodate the working part of the cryoapplicator in the ring-shaped element with a gap. For cryotherapy the instrument is placed on the side of the abdominal cavity with the puncture-drainage hole located in the center of the ring-shaped element. The working part of the cryoapplicator is placed in the central part of the ring-shaped element. Cryotherapy is carried out under ultrasound monitoring in three sessions. Each session contains a freezing stage for 3 minutes and a passive thawing stage.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the efficiency of canal treatment after drainage of an alveococcal cyst, improve the results of surgical treatment of parasitic liver damage, and reduce the frequency of relapses.
