FIELD: polymer granulating.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a device for granulating plasticized material, in particular polymer material. The device contains a housing with a gas supply pipe with a rectangular cross-section and a gas outlet pipe also with a rectangular cross-section connected opposite it to the housing. The device contains a granulator located at least partially in the housing with a perforated plate of a supply or plasticization unit, preferably an extruder, entering or flowing into the housing. The scraper for grinding the material exits through the recesses of the perforated plate. In the plane or the section plane (E-E) running parallel to the plane of the perforated plate and/or the front wall of the housing, both side surfaces of the walls of the gas exhaust pipe located vertically to this plane form an angle with each other α2. Both lateral surfaces of the walls of the gas supply pipe, located vertically to this plane, form an angle α1. Both angles α1, α2 are opened in the direction of the body, and the angle α1 is bigger than angle α2.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of quickly strengthening separated particles and preventing both mutual collision of particles and collision of particles with the internal walls of the housing or the following pipes that discharge particles.
