FIELD: heat engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in lever mechanisms of heat engines. A multi-piston engine contains a piston device in the form of jointly working pistons (1), (2) with rods kinematically connected to driven cranks (3), (4) through a mechanical connecting device for converting the translational motion of the pistons (1), (2) into rotational motion driven cranks (3), (4). The piston device is made in the form of two coaxially installed vertically and kinematically interconnected upper and lower pistons (1), (2) with rods (7), (10) located on one side of the driven cranks (3), (4). The mechanical connecting device is made in the form of a four-rod hinge mechanism (5), (6), (8), (9). The length of two identical upper connecting rods (5), (6), kinematically connected to the rod (7) of the lower piston (2), is greater than the length of two identical lower connecting rods (8), (9), kinematically connected to the rod (10) of the upper piston (1).
EFFECT: simplifying the design of a multi-piston engine.
