FIELD: foundry production.

SUBSTANCE: method for applying non-stick paint with the required layer thickness on the inner surface of a mould rotating in a horizontal plane using a painting device with a spray nozzle connected through hoses with compressed air and paint coming from the tank, includes applying paint with the painting device during its reciprocating passages in the internal mould cavity at a speed of 2.2 m/min. The first layer is applied to heated to 180-185 °C surface when the mould rotates with a frequency corresponding to the gravitational coefficient of 90 on its inner surface, under a pressure of 0.16-0.18 MPa, from a height of 0.2 m above the surface of the mould, at an angle of 40° to the axis of rotation. Then the rotation is stopped and the thickness of the paint layer applied with a certain number of passes of the painting device is measured. Paint is applied to the first layer while rotating the mould at the same frequency through additional passes of the painting device. The number of passes is determined by taking into account the thickness of the paint layer formed during its first application for the corresponding number of passes of the painting device.

EFFECT: ensuring that paint is applied with the required layer thickness.
