FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry, in particular to centrifugal casting. The method for applying a separating coating to the inner surface of a mold rotated in a horizontal plane using a painting device includes applying paint by means of a paint pipe with a spray nozzle to the inner surface of a mold preheated to 190-200°C. Zircon-bentonite paint is used with a viscosity of 10-12 s according to a viscometer, the supply of which is carried out under a pressure of 0.10-0.15 MPa. Spray nozzle through hoses with paint and compressed air, connected to the finished paint tank, sprays paint in the form of a cone-shaped jet onto the inner surface of the mold in the direction of its rotation, while the spray pipe with the spray nozzle reciprocates at a speed of 0.08-0 ,10 m/s, spraying the paint along the length of the mold.
EFFECT: obtaining blanks with a clean surface without sticking and with a minimum allowance for machining.
