FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control the apparent density of baked quartz ceramic shell blanks. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the ultrasonic speed is measured and the controlled parameter is determined using a previously constructed regression dependence, while the apparent density of the blank material is determined by the regression dependence constructed from the results of measuring the values of the ultrasonic speed, the shrinkage coefficient in the baked blanks, and the time of the blank collection at moulding and baking temperature of the blanks in comparison with the results of determining apparent density based on the results of direct determination of apparent density of samples from the technological allowance of blanks and satellite samples.
EFFECT: providing the ability to quickly control apparent density of quartz ceramic shell blanks after baking using the blanks directly.
